SOAS French Folk Dance Society is very pleased to announce our second Grand Midsummer Folk Ball! Prepare to be thrilled, twirled and transported by an extravaganza of european folk music and dance!
Headline act Naragonia have delighted dance festival audiences across Europe with their delicate, emotional compositions. The musical and personal duo was formed at Andanças festival in Portugal in 2003 where Toon van Mierlo and Pascale Rubens met during the many jam sessions. This is a rare opportunity to dance to one of the top European dance music groups in the UK.
London-based support act Amaraterra bring the fire and passion of South Italian pizzica and tarantella. Check out their videos on http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2FAmaraterraLondon&h=uAQGFsJFd&s=1
